Three weeks ago, a team of Rambus employees headed to Orange County, NC to build a Habitat home for a well-deserving family.
On the morning of October 13, 2017, we began framing the first walls of a home, alongside future homeowner, Natasha. Natasha and her three children are looking forward to living in a home of their own, thanks to the support our Rambus community.
“The house we currently live in has mold, and it makes it hard on my daughter’s asthma,” said Natasha. “I can’t wait to be in a safe home where I don’t have to worry about it harming the health and safety of my children. I am so thankful for Rambus’ support in making my dream a reality.”
Commitment to Community Support
At Rambus, we are passionate about investing in the community around us and connecting with one another through charitable opportunities. The annual Rambus build day is always one of our favorite days of the year. For years, employees from across the country have come together to build strength, stability and self-reliance by sponsoring and building Habitat homes for families in need.
This year marks 15 years of partnership and half a million dollars donated by Rambus to the Orange County Habitat – the strongest corporate partnership in the Habitat’s history. We have contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours to the Habitat jobsite.
We are excited to continue our partnership with Habitat for Humanity to help improve the quality of life among the Orange County community. It’s truly rewarding to be able to contribute to and volunteer for our local community to further drive social change.
“Families right here in Orange County struggle each day to afford a decent home. For fifteen years, Rambus has provided a hand up to these families through their partnership with Habitat,” said Jennifer Player, Associate Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity. “We are so grateful that Rambus continues to invest in our community.”

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has helped more than 269 families in Orange County become homeowners. Habitat homes are built through the use of volunteer labor and donations of money and materials. The homes are then sold to low-income families with an affordable mortgage. Monthly payments set at 30 percent or less of the homeowner’s income, making homeownership a reality.
