Industry predictions indicate that 50% of smartphones will be NFC enabled by 2015. As interest and discussions in this sector continue to gain momentum, Bell ID is delighted to be joining other key players from the industry at the NFC Solutions Summit, 15-16 May in San Francisco. Hosted by the Smart Card Alliance and the NFC Forum, the event offers the perfect platform to discuss all things related to trusted service management (TSM) and token management for NFC-enabled services.
As the US works to migrate to EMV, and many financial institutions establish their long-term payment strategies, it seems there is no longer a question of whether to implement EMV or NFC. Instead, we are enjoying real debates and understanding that both technologies work in tandem. This is creating a unique opportunity for the US to implement an infrastructure that has the potential to expedite the deployment of NFC technology.
This event not only focuses on the current status of this promising technology, but also looks at the developments in new NFC devices and market forecasts for America in comparison to other countries.
On the Bell ID booth we will be demonstrating the mobile TSM solution selected by BlackBerry, which is using Bell ID Trusted Service Manager in its secure element manager (SEM) solution for NFC mobile payments. The demonstration shows delegates over-the-air (OTA) provisioning of mobile payments and testing the implementation in a point-of-sale (POS) environment. Please come by the stand to learn more about our offering and credentials in this space.
If you would like to arrange a meeting in advance, please contact Todd Freyman, VP of the Americas at Bell ID.
It is shaping up to be a great event!
