Target date for completion extended to July 26, 2010
LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES – 05/26/2010 – Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), one of the world’s premier technology licensing companies, today announced that it has received notification from the International Trade Commission (ITC) extending the target date for completion of the investigation until July 26, 2010. The ITC has requested further briefing regarding a license agreement between Rambus and Samsung Electronics. This action was brought by Rambus against NVIDIA Corporation and other Respondents alleging violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. The action is Investigation Number 337-TA-661.
“We are confident the ITC will ultimately affirm that Rambus patents are valid and infringed by the Respondents,” said Thomas Lavelle, senior vice president and general counsel at Rambus. “While we are of course disappointed in the delay, we will comply with the Commission’s request for further briefing in this matter.”
