Shyam Ramachandran

Shyam is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Rambus, responsible for infrastructure, enterprise systems, information security, data management, and IT engineering services.  He brings over 25 years of demonstrated expertise in guiding technology organizations grow and scale their business operations, while ensuring the seamless delivery of world-class technology experiences.

Prior to Rambus, Shyam held Executive Technology Leadership roles at Onto Innovation, Nanometrics, Qualcomm (IoT BU), and Mettler Toledo. In these positions, he spearheaded infrastructure, enterprise applications, security, engineering, data platform operations and M&A. Shyam’s primary focus is driving the technology vision and strategy to facilitate rapid scaling, establish a secure and robust infrastructure, cultivate a world-class IT organization, and deliver innovative solutions on a global scale.

Shyam has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and bachelor’s in systems from Madras University, India. He further earned is Exec MBA from National University of Singapore with specialization in Supply Chain strategy and is a Certified Cybersecurity Risk Management Executive from Harvard Business School.  As a CIO Hall of Fame Inductee, he is also an active startup advisor at FalconX, a Silicon Valley Accelerator for several early-stage B2B startups.
