Hardware-level security provides a key component of a comprehensive security solution. In this talk, Paul Kocher will discuss architectures and approaches that can provide strong and cost-effective security in silicon.
Rambus Demos
Terabyte Bandwidth Initiative
The latest technology advancements of Rambus’ Terabyte Bandwidth Initiative enable unmatched power efficiency and compatibility to single-ended memory architectures, including GDDR5 and DDR3. This demo will showcase how Rambus’ Terabyte Bandwidth Initiative has achieved a power efficiency of 6 milliwatts per gigabit per second (mW/Gbps) when operating at 20Gbps in a 40nm-process silicon test vehicle.
DDR3 Controller Interface Solution
Optimized for consumer applications, this high-performance DDR3 interface solution is implemented in a low-cost wire bond package. It performs memory transactions to and from a DDR3 SDRAM device operating at 1866MT/s with architectural support for data rates of up to 2133MT/s.
Mobile XDR™ Memory Architecture
The Mobile XDR™ memory architecture is the world’s fastest and most power-efficient memory for mobile applications. The demonstration features the Mobile XDR memory interface implemented in a package-on-package configuration signaling at 4.3Gbps with a power efficiency of 2.2mW/Gbps.
Cryptography Research Inc.
A world-leader in semiconductor security, Cryptography Research will provide a demonstration using its DPA Workstation™ to showcase foundational technologies that protect systems and chips against power analysis attacks.
